Today you are 10 weeks. This is my very first letter to you. After spending way to much time reading about the best way to start a blog, I finally got fed up and just started.
I figure that despite having no idea what I am doing, when it comes to blogging, I will figure it out as I go along. My main purpose for writing this blog, is to share with you this time that you would otherwise never know about. I want to share with you what is going on in mine and your daddy’s world while you are growing inside of my belly.
So, here it goes. I took your Daddy early this morning to the airport. He will be in California for a week. President Obama will be in Los Angeles for two days next week, but because Daddy is doing what they call “the advance”, he has to go early and take care of all of the logistics and tactical stuff. You don’t know this yet, but your Daddy is somewhat of a bad ass. Here is a picture of him last October, right after he made the Counter Assault Team (CAT).
My mom (MeMe is what we think you will call her), Kevin (my step dad), my step brother, Harrison (your step-uncle) & his friend Dumawny just stopped by on their way out of town. They were all up here visiting this week. They brought the motor home, the dogs and stayed at a KOA in Annapolis so they could visit the Millers, Papa Jim & Bettie & Adam and I. I wish I took some pictures while they were here so I could post them for you. Oh well, we have a lot of time between now and October 28th, I will get pictures up here of everyone for you before then.
Anyway, I have been so tired. The doctors and everyone has told me that this is very normal in the first trimester. But it is driving me a little crazy. I have so much stuff I need to get to and do and I just simply don’t feel like doing it most of the time. It’s terrible. Your Daddy reassures me that it is okay for me to be sleeping and resting as much as I am, but I can’t help but feel guilty.
Not only are you making me very sleepy, BUT I am going to the bathroom CONSTANTLY. The other day your Dad and I were at the gym, for our normal hour long work out, I peed 3 times while I was there!!!!
Okay, I have to go pack up some things that sold. Did you know that yesterday morning you and I had a cookies and cream ice cream cone for breakfast? It was delicious! There was no milk, so we couldn’t have our normal Oh’s cereal. The only thing that sounded as good as a bowl of cereal was an ice cream cone. You loved it so much, I made a second one! I took our vitamins with it too, of course. I’ve already gained about 10 lbs in the past 3 months, so I better slow down. They say you aren’t supposed to make me start gaining weight for a few more weeks. Whoops!!!! Oh, well, all the yummy food has been well worth it, don’t you think?
Love,
Mommy
